Timber Machining Services: Resawing, Dressing and CNC

We do more than sell boards. From our workshop in Hornsby, NSW, we cut, dress and machine plantation-grown Paulownia to the exact sizes your project needs, so it arrives ready to use.

Our Paulownia is a plantation-grown hybrid of Paulownia tomentosa and Paulownia fortunei, giving clean, low-defect timber with an attractive straight grain. Because we cut strips and blanks from single, thick planks, the pieces in your order share a very similar grain and colour tone (we can supply a mix on request).

Resawing and custom sizes

We resaw our 58 x 250 mm rough-sawn planks into thinner boards, strips and veneers, from 2 mm surfboard skins up to 50 mm thick stock. Standard lengths are 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 and 3.0 m, and longer lengths can be supplied on request.

Dressing with our Casadei four-sided moulder

Boards can be supplied rough sawn, dressed on two faces or dressed all round (DAR). Our Casadei four-sided moulder produces accurate, consistent profiles, including strip planking for boat builders. We also supply 90 x 10 mm VJ lining boards for ceilings and walls.

CNC machining

We CNC machine Paulownia to your drawings: guitar bodies, fishing lure blanks, surfboard and handplane blanks, signage and school project parts. Send us your DXF or design files and we will quote.
